Tailored Workshops and Coaching

Tailored Workshops and Coaching

We have a small team of Natural Happiness Advocates who can design and facilitate a wide range of events and sessions using this material, both in person and online. For groups, these are usually participative workshops where people can learn by experience, lasting from 90 minutes to 2 hours, or a full day. For individuals, coaching sessions might last 1-2 hours, and can be offered as a one-off or a series.

Whilst a garden or outdoor setting is ideal, we can deliver workshops indoors or online. Here are some examples of the groups we can work with:

  • public service teams (NHS and others) wanting to reduce burnout and handle stress better;
  • work teams (business and non-profit) wanting fresh approaches to resilience and creativity;
  • networks concerned with sustainability, mental health and wellbeing;
  • gardening groups and horticultural societies interested in how gardening skills can become life skills;
  • students and young people wanting a fresh approach to future challenges;
  • community groups wanting to grow mutual support, climate responses and resilience skills.

Individual coaching sessions can provide tailored support and processes for a wide range of issues, including work situations, personal challenges, living with bigger issues such as climate change, and community projects.

Dilip Karia

Dilip Karia

Natural Happiness Advocate

I am a fully qualified coach, counsellor and psychotherapist, with 20 years ongoing experience of working with groups and individuals. My driving force is always to support others to unlock their potential, in a gentle and caring way that is sustainable, respectful and environmentally responsible.

I have facilitated Alan Heeks’ wonderfully crafted Natural Happiness material in workshops for executive coaches and local authority employees, and was thrilled with the feedback that the participants reported. The consensus was that a deeper connection between mind, body and nature had led to a strong feeling of interrelatedness with each other. This in turn intensified empathy and dissolved perceived barriers. From here anything is possible!

The impact of the courses compelled me to become a Nature Advocate as I believe this would be a wonderful way of sharing Alan’s concepts with an even wider audience. I would be delighted to discuss how we could co-create a workshop together that would support you, your teams and your communities to achieve their desired goals. I can work with groups from organisations in the business, public and non-profit sectors, as well as with individuals and community groups, and I would welcome an informal, exploratory conversation. Together we will develop a solution: your best interest is my goal.

I live and work in Hampshire and often travel to deliver sessions in different parts of the U.K. Additionally I have extensive experience of facilitating online sessions.
