Alan Heeks will discuss the approach set out in his new book, Natural Happiness: Use Organic Gardening Skills to Cultivate Yourself.

Alan Heeks is a wellbeing expert and keen gardener with many years’ experience helping people to cultivate their human nature and wellbeing through parallels with organic gardening. At age 42, Alan dropped out of a successful business career to start a 130-acre organic farm and education charity, and since then has led many groups using his approach, for individuals, communities and NHS doctors. Alan and his wife Linda live in Hay-on-Wye and grow much of their own vegetables.

Timings: Alan will be involved in two sessions:

12:00 – 12:30 on the HOW-TO STAGE
16:00 – 17:00 on GET GROWING FESTIVAL STAGE
