Wild & Well Festival, Bristol, October 2018
Wild & Well is a new style of wellbeing festival for anyone who wants to live in a healthier, happier, more connected way.
Saturday Workshop:
The Hero’s Journey
October 20th
“Follow your bliss and the universe will open doors where before there were only walls.” Joseph Campbell
Mythologist Joseph Campbell (best known for his ‘Hero’s Journey’ template for storytelling as applied to films like Star Wars and The Matrix) was also famous for his mantra for a meaningful life, ‘Follow your Bliss’. What is your deepest passion, the thing that makes you feel most alive? Often it’s the thing you can’t not do despite any resistance you may feel, hence Campbell later said what he really meant was ‘Follow Your Blisters’!
This workshop invites you to open the door to your bliss, applying the stages of The Hero’s Journey as a map for transformation as you move towards it. Be mindful of any fears and resistance you encounter along the way, and open to new inspiration and direction. This is a chance to explore a fresh sense of purpose, to bring some juice back into your life and take a step towards a new dream or goal.
